Configure TrackMyRoles to match your preferences and manage your account.
Accessing Settings
Open Settings from the sidebar navigation or by pressingG thenS.
Profile
View and manage your account information:
Account Details
- Email: Your registered email address (managed through Clerk)
- Profile Picture: Avatar displayed throughout the app
- Name: Your display name
Click Manage Account to access Clerk profile settings for password changes, 2FA setup, and more.
Application Goals
Set your weekly application targets:
Weekly Target
Number of applications to submit each week (default: 10)
Target Job Title
The primary role you are seeking in your search
Target Salary
Your desired compensation range
Preferred Work Type
Remote, Hybrid, or On-site preference

Email Integration
Connect your Gmail account for automatic email syncing:
Gmail Connection
- Connect Gmail: Link your Google account to start syncing
- Sync Status: View when emails were last synced
- Disconnect: Remove Gmail access at any time

Appearance
Customize how TrackMyRoles looks:
Theme Options
- Light: Clean, bright interface for daytime use
- Dark: Reduced eye strain for low-light environments
- System: Automatically match your device settings
Theme selection is also available from the sidebar theme toggle.
Data Management
Control your data:
Export Data
Download all your data in CSV format. Includes applications, contacts, interviews, and more. Great for backups or analysis.
Delete All Data
Remove all applications, contacts, interviews, and other data while keeping your account. Useful for starting fresh.
Delete Account
Permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone. You will need to create a new account to use TrackMyRoles again.
Security
Manage your account security through Clerk:
Security Features
- Password: Change your password (for email accounts)
- Two-Factor Authentication: Add an extra layer of security with 2FA
- Active Sessions: View and manage logged-in devices
- Connected Accounts: Manage Google and other linked accounts
Click Manage Account to access the full security settings.
Common Tasks
Change Weekly Goal
Settings → Goals → Weekly Target → Enter new number → Save
Connect Gmail
Settings → Email Integration → Connect Gmail → Sign in → Grant permissions
Switch to Dark Mode
Settings → Appearance → Select Dark (or use sidebar toggle)
Export All Data
Settings → Data Management → Export All Data → Download CSV
